Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship / Famine Museum - Dublin
Below the Surface is hosting a special series of maritime monthly storytelling aboard the Jeannie Johnson Tall Ship on Custom House Quay, Dublin 1. All talks will take place on the first Wednesday of each month beginning on 7th November at 8pm. Stories of Ireland’s seafaring past will cover a wide variety of historical themes from 11th century Vikings and the Dublin slave trade to 17th century pirates, 18th century emigration and the doomed 19th century polar expedition

Gaiety Theatre Dublin
The European premiere for John Tiffany’s production of Once, winner of eight 2012 Tony awards including Best New Musical, will take place in Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre in 2013. With book by award-winning Irish playwright and screenwriter Enda Walsh, the London production of Once will open at the Gaiety Theatre on 22 February ahead of its West End debut at the Phoenix Theatre on 9 April. Currently booking at the Gaiety Theatre to 9 March 2013, Once will be produced by Barbara Broccoli, John N. Hart Jr., Patrick Milling Smith, Frederick Zollo, Brian Carmody, Michael G. Wilson, Orin Wolf and Michael Rose Limited in association with New York Theatre Workshop.
Based on the much-loved Oscar-winning film, Once is a celebration of love, friendship and music. When an Irish busker and a young Czech mother meet through a shared love of music, their song writing sparks a deep connection and a tender, longing romance that neither of them could have expected.

The Festival Parade on March 17 is the highlight of the festival. The spectacular procession will meander through the heart of Dublin City mesmerising the audience along the 2.6km route, lasting approximately 2 hours.
A People's Procession will precede the Festival Parade at 11am, with 8,000 people from across the world marching through the streets ahead of the spectacular parade floats and entertainers.

Dublin will be the epicentre of European club rugby when the Irish capital stages both the Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup finals in May 2013.
The RDS will be the venue for the Amlin Challenge Cup final on Friday, 17 May, 2013 (kick off 8pm). The following day, fans will be able to congregate in the European Champions Village in Merrion Square from 12 noon, with the Heineken Cup Final kicking off in the nearby Aviva Stadium at 5.00pm
