stayed overnight with four family members. i got a good rate with travelrepublic for 3 single occupancy rooms and one double. check in was smooth and pleasant and we were directed to our rooms on the fifth floor.my first impression was very good .there was a large double bed with good quality bedding and the room was tastefully decorated.the flat screen tv was large and wall mounted. there were tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar. the bathroom was spacious with a bath and large walk in shower. everything was spotless.
we had a panini and coffee in the grill bar which was very tasty and reasonably priced,
i had a very quiet and comfortable night in spite of several christmas functions.
the breakfast is served until 11am which is great after a late night.
the breakfast was very nice and tea and coffee is served at the table.my only gripe (and i know its petty but it irritates me)i had to make my own toast at one of those incredibly slow toasters.i had just completed my second slow journey through the toaster to fully brown my bread when one of the waitresses appeared and casually lifted my long awaited toast and bore it off to the kitchen before i could protest. i gave up and had a slice of wheaten instead.however this minor blip did not spoil my enjoyment of my breakfast and i would certainly return to the crown plaza
