Sport in Dublin

If there is one single thing that stands out about sport in Dublin, whether you talk about rugby internationals at Lansdowne Road  or the new stadium which will be opening in 2010, the All-Ireland Gaelic finals at Croke Park or exciting football events with local or national teams, sport in Dublin is a fun and family event.

Football & Hurling

Croke Park is home to the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), it has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for over a hundred years. Highlight's are the All Ireland Hurling & Football Finals, always on the 1st and 3rd weekend in September.

Rugby

Rugby is a very popular sport in Dublin. This can seen when Ireland are playing an important international match and the city comes to a halt. The international team plays at Croke Park, major dates are the six nations home games in February & March and the Autumn Internationals.
